- Press Release
AsiaQuest Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Iidabashi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Jun Momoi; hereinafter "AsiaQuest"), a company that supports companies' digital transformation (hereinafter "DX") by utilizing digital technologies such as IoT and AI, has implemented a work-time management solution using the dice-shaped IoT device "Smart CUBE" for TMJ, Inc. (headquartered in Shinjuku, TokyoPresident/CEO: Hideki Maruyama).
■Reducing the time and effort required to manage man-hours and visualizing work hours and work content
TMJ, Inc.'s call center operations had been managed by operators who manually registered the number of hours worked in an Excel macro system, but due to the time required to switch between windows on the display, the system was not able to accurately measure the number of hours worked. In September 2020, the company introduced the Smart CUBE series of dice-shaped IoT devices developed by AsiaQuest, with the aim of understanding the time spent by operators and accurately visualizing the content of their work.
The conventional hexahedron Smart CUBE was customized into a decahedron for TMJ. The alphabets on the faces are represented as concave and convex so that even the visually impaired can use the device. Operators can simply roll the Smart CUBE in their hand onto the surface associated with their work content to report their work easily and in real time.
In addition, the responsible person can centrally grasp the work content of each operator on the web page of "beaconnect plus," an IoT platform provided by the Company, enabling appropriate approaches in real time.
By utilizing the Smart CUBE series in this way, we aim to improve work efficiency by managing man-hours per operation and analyzing the acquired data.

■Dice-shaped IoT Device SmartCUBE Makes Work Status Visible at a Glance
Conventional methods of man-hour management are manual, time-consuming, and inaccurate due to human error - Smart CUBE solves these problems.
Smart CUBE, a dice-shaped IoT device, automatically converts man-hours of users into data by linking each surface to the work to be managed. This eliminates the need to manually input man-hours on paper or PC. Even if the person in charge is not on site, he/she can visualize the work status of each person in charge and the totaled data on the beaconnect plus Web screen, enabling appropriate approaches to the workers.
The Smart CUBE series can also be used to manage and analyze man-hours and improve work efficiency.
