【Work Style Reform】AsiaQuest initiates development of a system to reduce input tasks for Kyushu Sanko Bus

Solving the problem of labor shortages in rural areas
AsiaQuest Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Iidabashi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Jun Momoi) began developing a system in January 2019 to reduce input work for bus crews and clerks at Kyushu Sanko Bus Co(Head Office: 4-13-34, Kamidai, Nishi-ku, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto ; Representative Director and President: Keisuke Mori.).

■Need to Improve the Working Environment
The shortage of labor in rural areas has become a serious issue. Bus operators are finding it even more difficult to secure a stable supply of drivers, and there is a need to improve the working environment and increase operational efficiency.
Kyushu Sanko Bus Co., Ltd. currently requires its clerical staff to perform a large amount of input work in their daily duties, and in particular, they spend a large amount of time inputting bus crew daily reports into the existing system. The company's urgent task is to reduce the amount of time spent on daily work and improve operations by reducing the amount of time spent on inputting data.

■Reduce working hours by digitizing reports
To solve the above issues, AsiaQuest, which focuses on business automation using RPA and AI, will build an input work reduction system. The input work of reports such as work information and daily reports, which are currently managed on paper, will be changed to tablet applications, and data will be input directly by bus crew members. This will reduce the amount of work required to compile reports and allow the entered data to be imported into the existing system. In addition, the system will reduce working hours by allowing crew members to enter data at any time, rather than at the end of the day when it is all entered together. The system will be implemented at five locations, with the goal of reducing working hours by approximately 5,000 hours per year.

In the future, we will not limit our efforts to the computerization of business information, but will also review a wide range of daily operations and promote collaboration so that the working environment is seen as attractive by young people and women, and so that bus operators can support the local community's transportation.
In addition, we will continue to support the automation of operations of companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Kyushu, focusing on technologies such as RPA and AI.
