BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
A company was selling an Android-based wearable device that could read documents and input necessary information by voice even while using both hands to inspect and assemble parts at a factory. However, when conducting sales activities, the device did not have standard functions, and the company was having difficulty conveying the image of what it would look like when it was introduced into actual operations.
AsiaQuest, which specializes in Android application development and special device development, worked with a company that specializes in voice analysis to take charge of the application part.
Within the app we developed, we optimized the threshold settings and the screen display in the device, which are important factors when conducting speech analysis from actual speech utterances.
For special terminals, we implemented a function that switches between the terminal's speech recognition engine and the app's speech recognition engine depending on the required situation, providing a more optimal solution.
OUTLOOK FOR THE FUTURE
In the future, we plan to implement various features, including requests for further functionality and customization to suit the environment in which the system is actually implemented.
